Privacy Policy

At FlexiCopyToggle, we're committed to protecting your privacy and ensuring transparency about how our extension works.

Last Updated: May 1, 2025

This privacy policy explains what information FlexiCopyToggle collects and how it is used.

Data Collection and Usage

FlexiCopyToggle does not collect, transmit, or store any user data except for the extension's on/off toggle state preference, which is stored locally in the Chrome browser using Chrome's storage API. This preference is only used to remember whether you want the extension enabled or disabled when you revisit websites.

The extension does not:

  • Collect any personally identifiable information
  • Track browsing history or website content
  • Monitor user activity
  • Send any data to external servers
  • Share any information with third parties

How FlexiCopyToggle Works

Our extension functions entirely within your browser. When you visit a website with tables or grid data:

  • The extension analyzes the page's HTML structure to identify tables and grid elements
  • It temporarily modifies these elements to make the content selectable and copyable
  • All processing happens locally in your browser - no data is sent to any external servers
  • When you navigate away from a page or disable the extension, all modifications are removed

Permissions

FlexiCopyToggle requests the following permissions:

  • Storage: To save your toggle preference (on/off state) locally
  • ActiveTab: To modify the current tab to make tables selectable and copyable

We request only the minimum permissions necessary for the extension to function correctly.

Changes to This Policy

If we make changes to this privacy policy, we will update this page with the new date. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
